Horses for courses I guess. I found it ridiculously easy and had 3:07 left on the clock, but then music is by far my strongest subject.

Actually, they were called the Jacksons after they left Motown and went to Epic. Motown owner Berry Gordy wouldn't allow them to keep the name "Jackson Five" because it was trademarked. So, they just dropped the "Five" and renamed themselves the Jacksons.

Def Leppard should be accepted for Phil Collins. Also, the Quarrymen should be accepted for John Lennon.

John Lennon didn't make any solo records after the Quarrymen. He joined the Beatles, then went solo. Dumb statement.

Sep 28, 2012

It wasn't a dumb statement; the instructions state to name the groups they sang with before going solo, but not immidiately before going solo. In other words, the Quarrymen is technically a correct answer.

Yeah, who's heard of The Beatles anyway? I've got all the Quarrymen's CDs. Remember Quarrymenmania? Ah, heady times. Heady times. And just take a look at Phil Collins, dude. Does he look like the kind of bloke who would sing in a metal band?

Beyoncé is one of today's idols (people call her Queen Bey, the Queen, etc.) and Destiny's Child had some pretty popular music before she left (Survivor, Single Ladies, etc.). Fergie was a part of the Black Eyed Peas (I Gotta Feeling, Boom Boom Pow, My Humps, etc.) which was in practically every pre-party playlist and dance mix for the past 6 years. Her biggest solo song is Fergalicious, which is pretty popular as well. Justin Timberlake is way more popular than Fergie. He rose to fame with N' Sync (their most popular song was Bye Bye Bye) and since then has released numerous hits and at least one album. Hope this helped! :)

Yeah, Take That didn't hit it big in the States. The only thing that might be recognizable here was "Rule The World", but only because it was the closing credits song in the movie "Stardust", not because it got much individual airplay.

Yes, they made a quiz and some people who went solo are not on it. It's not the end of the world. No Debbie Harry?! No Pete Townshend?! No Rod Stewart?! No Brandon Flowers?! No Lionel Ritchie?! No Natalie Merchant?! It would go on forever. It's not the quizmaker's job to cater to your particular tastes. There are lots of people who could be on here. This is who you get. If you don't like it, make your own quiz.
