Yes, but do you think they were asking people to remember the building? Santa Anna's cruelty during the battle there is what inspired so many to join the army of Texas and crush him in 18 minutes at San Jacinto.

Plus, "remember the Alamo' was not a San Antonio event. We "remember" the Battle of the Alamo.

Quizmaster, why do you always use the @ symbol before user names when replying to comments? It's an extra key stroke for no apparent reason. In this instance, what is lost if you say "What platitude said." It adds nothing, or am I missing something?

Actually you're correct: Congo is the recognised short form of that country. Still, that wouldn't have fitted the -------- of the ------ clue though...
