You should accept gridiron and american football - not only does "football" refer to different codes of football in different countries, in Australia it even refers to different codes depending on state.

No 'football' acceptable for soccer? Also, 'sailing' should be acceptable for coxswain as well as rowing.

All the people who are saying 'You should use different terms that show up in different countries', it says on top, 'Give us the American name'.

Well, I only knew a few of these. After I guessed the ones I knew, I just started guessing sports at random, and I got most of them. I suppose to make it more of a challenge, you could make it so we had to fill in the sport name next to the term.

why would throwing a disk be less of a sport than hitting a ball with a stick or your feet. Or throwing a ball ( that covers most of the sports I guess)

"professional" sport. If there are no governing bodies or paid participants then it probably would be considered a sport but not a professional one.

Huck is a term in a lot of sports, you either need to accept the other sports as well or change it to another term.

the comments are brilliant ... football or soccer - seen "corner kick" so typed football and the "stiff arm" clue filled in, so being the reasonable Brit that I am, and having read the "bit at the top" I type soccer. . It's not difficult. It's an Amertican based website, we all know that, so live with it.

BUT - what on earth is "Ultimate Frisbee"... and don't tell me there's a "Normal Frisbee" too...

I thought tenpin would be a short cut for tenpin bowling, but it seems not. Nor is tenpin bowling allowed. Just "bowling".

There are of course other sports called bowling. In the UK, we have crown green bowling and flat green bowling.

10-pin bowling and golf are games, not sports; figure skating is an art, not a sport.

"Huck" is a pretty generic term used by certain groups describing all sorts of sports. Perhaps I'm not familiar enough with the sport listed as the official answer, but I feel like that one could use a clearer hint, as I had guessed nearly a dozen other sports before guessing correctly, and, looking at the other comments, I'm not alone in that situation.
