Yep, looks like should be Nevada/Alabama instead of Arkansas/Alaska. Looks like 2018 numbers are listed in Wikipedia now too.

Well that's a surprise - according to WP Hawaii's highest recorded temperature is only 98F

Edit: and it also has the highest all-time low temperature (only including states)

Polynesian islands tend to have very stable temperatures that don't vary one way or the other far from the mean. I wouldn't be surprised if it also has the highest all-time low temperature.

No, boy, Hawaii has a tropical climate, so its annual temperature range is considerably lower compared to the other states with more temperature climates.
