Would have been super difficult for Paul to have written to the Corinthians about their issues (immorality, etc) without ever mentioning Corinth.

A bit misleading as the Torah books are primarily called 1-5 Moses in some languages (a quick look in Wikipedia says Nordic, Estonian, Hungarian, Slovene and Romansh). But admittedly not just "Moses".

4 It is not for kings, Lemuel—

it is not for kings to drink wine,

not for rulers to crave beer,

5 lest they drink and forget what has been decreed,

and deprive all the oppressed of their rights.

6 Let beer be for those who are perishing,

wine for those who are in anguish!

Proverbs 31:4-6 (New International Version NIV)

"Beer" isn't exactly the best translation here (or any other times that the Hebrew word shekar is used in the bible). Take a look here to see what I mean. There is no word used in the bible in Hebrew or Greek that exclusively means "beer."

Interesting.

There may not have been a direct old Hebrew translation for "Budweiser".

Agree that beer is an over-simplified translation that's probably not accurate. But it does appear in that version of the Bible, so I replaced "beer" with "nutmeg" as an incorrect choice.

So close to a perfect score! Missed the lice :-( Seems I'm not the only one 🤷‍♀️

I also missed lice due to hardly ever using the King James Version and most translations these days calling them gnats.

As a lapsed Christian, I am astonished by the average performance on this quiz. I thought I did uncharacteristically well when I saw the raw score (except for plagues), but it seems Jetpunk users know their BibIe. I dare say it also appears there is a surprising lack of religious diversity among them.

Many of us know the Bible well because it's probably the single most influential text in history. Doesn't mean we're Christians. I've read the Communist Manifesto too, but not because I'm a communist.

I haven't looked at the demographics of JetPunk but I would imagine the majority of users taking this kind of quiz are from English speaking countries and probably under 40. I'd dare say that most people taking the quiz are atheists given the above.

Not that difficult if you know the location of the cities and it's pretty obvious where the majority of Biblical stories took place.

"For each category, selected the valid people, places, and things related to the Bible."

I think selected is supposed to be select, unless it's a reference to the bible that I'm just missing.
