Being from Rochester, a garbage plate is something that all locals immediately recognize and relate to. They're so damn good.

What is it?

A plate with macaroni salad, home fries, and normally 2 hamburger patties on top (though you can do hot dogs or some other meat). It's essentially a heart attack on a plate but it's heavenly, especially with hot sauce and some mustard.

So after being told he only has 6 months to live, the guy freaks out, wondering what to do. The doctor tells him, "Relax! Just look for the fattest, ugliest woman you can find...marry her...and then move to Cleveland. The next 6 months will seem like an eternity."

You're kidding about Astoria, right? We're supposed to remember some obscure town from a 1985 movie (great movie, BTW) that has less than 10,000 people??

The QM has a habit of putting one very difficult question into every quiz, just to separate the good from the great.

By the standards of this region, that's pretty close. Oh...writing from Flagstaff, in case that wasn't clear.

It's a shame so few people got Colorado Springs, however, I think USAFA would be a better clue than NORAD ... as a proud citizen of the fine city of Colorado Springs :P

These were all relatively big cities and you just threw in Astoria. I knew it was Oregon and guessed Portland, Bend, Eugene, and New Salem but didn't even know Astoria existed. Also this should be a yellow box quiz.

I thought it was kind of weird too because Astoria isn't a very large city. I know where it is on the map and that Goonies is set there, but that's it

I'd never heard of Astoria and I really know my cities. But that's great, I enjoy when people push the difficulty. A quiz like this should have challenging answers for noobies and turbo-nerds alike. Wonderful quiz!
