The Prohibition clue could be reworded. "Prohibition" is not really an era (like "roaring 20s" or "reconstruction" or "progressive era"). Something like "what law (or ban) was in place in the US from 1920-33" might be better.

I liked it. I think the term fits well enough, and it made me stop and think about the dates before I could get it.

I tried "roaring 20s" and "reconstruction". I couldn't imagine what else the period could be defined by. Is lack of alcohol the most notable thing about that period of time that it's known as the "prohibition era"?

The lack of legal alcohol gave rise to the illegal alcohol industry. Smugglers, black markets, graft, organized crime, the rise of federal law enforcement, and a major intrusion into the lives of the population of the "Land of the Free". It more significant than just a handful of thirsty party-ers.

JoshPen, it was way more than just a handful of thirsty partyers or it wouldn't have been repealed, but I understand the point that you are making. It was an era and I'm just glad that I wasn't around for it.

Type "prohibition" into Google and the first thing it suggests is "prohibition era." When you search "prohibition era," (including the quotes) you get almost 2,000,000 results. Seems legit to me.

Given how hard it is for a lot of college graduates to find jobs, I think there are actually a lot of honors that rank above magna cum laude. Like being a Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin' Challenge Finisher, for example.

Can you also accept "the old ballgame," which is how it's named at the end of the song? I started humming at "buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks," and went forward from there until I landed on "the old ball game." When that didn't work, I tried twenty variations of "baseball stadium."
