1. The question states "Parker and Barrow" in that order.

2. Nobody says "Clyde and Bonnie"!

The seat belt stats are a little surprising! Massachusetts is the state with the second lowest use.

https://crashstats.nhtsa.dot.gov/Api/Public/ViewPublication/813307

It's also pretty remarkable to see how low the rates are in some places. New Hampshire is just 75% and was as low as 67% as recently as 2017.

I literally don't know anyone who doesn't use a seat belt in the United States and can't understand why a person wouldn't wear one. It's odd.

Everywhere in the world people started using them because they had to, not because they were smart. As it says in the source, enforcement helps.

That does seem to be what's happening here.

Weird that people would worry about a $75 ticket but not worry about getting horribly maimed or dying.

It's embarrassing that collegiate sport conference names still include numbers. Most children can count before starting kindergarten. Institutions of higher ed should strive to outsmart toddlers, especially when banding together for a common purpose. Guess they're too busy counting their millions to be concerned about simple math.

Come on mate. I'm British but I wouldn't expect that to be accepted in a US general knowledge quiz. Because it's about the US.

It also works with "collect 200" so you don't need the currency at all.

After wondering why Ottoman Empire didn't register as an acceptable answer, I learned something new today.

"The Barbary states were nominally part of the Ottoman Empire, but in practice they were independent and the Ottoman government in Constantinople was not involved."

Great quiz and series!

Big midwest question is outdated but more than likely it's going to get even bigger. So at this point there is no reason to update the quiz. Big 12 is at 16 (as of 8/31/23 9:18 AM CDT). If the bay area schools end up in the ACC, we will be left with 1 major conference that's anywhere close to resembling it's name.
