Kept trying Growing Pains as it was the only sitcom I could think of with a kid named Ben.

I don't think it's even the kid's name; I think it's the actor's name (based on a clue that references the actor Fred Savage). "Boy Meets World" is a bit obscure for my taste, but to each his own.

6+ years later and I still think that's a terrible question.

Wow. That question at least taught me that Ben and Fred Savage are different people.

They're brothers.

Ben Savage is Fred Savage's brother. The question is referencing the actor names, not the character.

How are we supposed to know which random actor named Ben you are thinking of?

It's an analogy. You were given Fred and Wonder Years. You then infer that we're talking about Fred Savage. Then, when you're given the name Ben, you again infer that we're now talking about Ben Savage to make the analogy work.

Perhaps you could accept "horse chestnut" for "Buckeye". That is a common name for the same tree. I had no idea what a buckeye tree was. I did try horse chestnut because of the clue -- the word chestnut and reference to poisonous.

Ohio is not known as the "horse chestnut state," though.

I tried horse chestnut and conker as had never heard of a buckeye which is closely related but not the same apparently

Come on now, Chicago is famous for STUFFED pizza more so than deep dish. a la Gino's, Giordano's, Lou Malnati's, Pizzeria Uno, etc.

What? Deep dish pizza is the variety Chicago is best known for. If you visit the websites of the restaurants you referenced, they all use the term Chicago deep dish pizza.

Hard no. Been in Chicago for ten years and no one ever says "stuffed" pizza, which is a totally different kind of pizza. It's deep dish.

This is exactly right. Stuffed pizza should be accepted here. Deep dish is what Uno's sold to the rest of the country as Chicago pizza, but it's not the pizza most Chicagoans order when they order pizza.

I was definitely tempted to try "Chicago style" but I'm glad I didn't spend time doing it. (Needed it on the Wonder Years question....)

it's silly that we need to make quizzes that announce in the title that they contain information about the US, so as to try and avoid some of the incessant complaints about any quiz that does, but it is nice to have a handful that allow for that. Hopefully none of those aforementioned complainers will come here and try to slip under the radar with sarcasm.
