They definitely should be red socks.

It helped me in an unexpected way because the end of Massachusetts kinda sounds like chaussettes which means socks in French.

Thank you, I was going to comment the same thing. Their natural range is part of Arizona, part of Sonora, Mexico, and just a tiny bit of SE California. Such fascinating plants.

The explanatory post appears to have disappeared. My take was that the lacrosse equipment was a tip of the hat to Johns Hopkins University, whose lacrosse team has won 9 NCAA National Championships, second only to Syracuse's 10.

Swedish flag for MN? And what does basketball have to do with Indiana? My mind jumped to MA, being where it was invented.

I, too, was confused by Swedish flag in MN. Being a Hoosier, I do understand that our reputation for basketball hysteria justifiably is fading between IU not winning a banner since the 80s and AAU-ification of the pre-college game.

Yep, Mayo Clinic. And we do have lots of Swedes in MN. I recall going to a Davis Cup match in Minneapolis in 1991 between Sweden and the USA; there was a TON of Swedish support. Really fun matches too with Sampras, Courier, and Agassi coached by McEnroe vs. Stefan Edberg, Anders Jarryd, etc. from Sweden.

I picked it up because of crab cakes and the terrapins. Was the native tribe that first played lacrosse from Maryland? Or does that emoji have some other significance? I thought it came from tribes further north.

edit: nevermind. I read the other comments.

I will repeat the comment about no saguaros in New Mexico. They only occur in the Sonoran desert of Arizona and California (within the US) as well as Mexico. Maybe find an atomic bomb emoji.
