I suspect Public Enemy's song got a bit less popular after 2001.

I just tried to guess as many dead rappers as I could think of. Amazing how many there are. Gotta give 'em this...they discovered a cure for old age.

Tupac, Biggie, Big Pun, Eazy-E...who else? All but two of the rappers in this quiz are still alive. I can think of way more rock stars who died young than rappers. Hendrix, Brian Jones, Joplin, Morrison, Cobain, Jeff Buckley, Tim Buckley, Keith Moon, John Bonham, Randy Rhoads, Layne Staley, Cliff Burton, Duane Allman, Marc Bolan, Ronnie Van Zant, Sid Vicious, Bon Scott, Bradley Nowell...that took 30 seconds to come up with. I'm sure there are dozens more.

Shouldn't All Saints be accepted as well for Under the bridge. They performed it, and it was a hit in the 90s

Considering that song is from 1997, probably not.

I was listening mostly to Nine Inch Nails, Beethoven, and Weird Al Yankovic at the time but was more cognizant of what was popular this decade than any other, though what I was listening to wasn't popular. Still only managed to get 3 points. I did like Soundgarden and the Verve. Came to appreciate Nirvana later in life.

Could you also accept Dr. Dre for "California Love?" It was on Tupac's album, but it was a collaboration between the two of them.

DMB fans would be upset 'Dave' isn't accepted, as they all refer to him like they know him personally.

duran duran also covered ‘911 is a joke’ in 1995, so they should be accepted

The year is clearly listed as 1990, not 1995. This makes it clear it isn't Duran-Duran's cover.

I actually love 1990’s music, even though I was born in the late 2000s. I love Nirvana (Kurt Cobain especially) and the Notorious B.I.G :)
