I'm glad there was no mention of that moment a few years ago when they tried to call themselves "the mitten state" and Michigan threw them all sorts of shade.

The brewery question got me all tied up. Of course I got Miller and Schlitz, but then I tried some of the bigger ones I've had from there lately, like Leinenkugel, La Crosse, New Glarus, Stevens Point, and even Lakefront. I wasn't thinking about past beers like Blatz, and I shamefully forgot PBR is from there, too, since it's now located in LA.

What is Blatz? Another fine product like Schlitz, Old Milwaukee, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Miller High Life?

I was discouraged to find that over 30% of the entries were about sausage and beer. Surely there is more to Wisconsin in that there could have been one question each about beer and sausages and the 7 remaining entries could have reflected other aspects of the state.

Besides cheese? And snow? I've lived in Wisconsin. I think the proportions are just about right :D

17, not bad! Happy to have remembered Pabst & Schlitz. We had Schlitz in the house when I was a kid. No idea what the state motto was, so took my best guess: "Sure beats Iowa!" :-P

How can a sausage "race", and why would you devote five questions (20%) of the quiz to such an obscure piece of knowledge?

If the sausage question was on an SAT test or a job application, you would have a valid complaint, but this is a quiz for fun and, last time I checked, no cash prizes.

Isn't trivia supposed to be an "obscure piece of knowledge?"

You don't understand Wisconsin.

Dude, have you EVER been to WI?? The racing sausages are a proud symbol of WI. I went there once, and as soon as I saw them, I knew that Wisconsiners (is that what you guys call yourselves?) were proud. And I am glad to the maker of this quiz for including that. No, it is not obscure. Be more open-minded and you'd know that.
