This one was tough for me! I think this is the first time I have seen pictures of a couple of these women. This is definitely not an easy 100%.

Marie is allowed for Queen Marie Antoinette, Elizabeth and Victoria allowed for the English Queens so perhaps Grace could be accepted Princess Grace?

Fair point, especially since she was wellknown by her first name as "princess Grace".

Good quiz. The four in the column on the right got me. I recognised two of the faces but couldn't remember the names.

Yikes. This would be a very different quiz if a woman wrote it. … I should probably shut up, put up, and write such quiz :-)

I once read that Frida Kahlo spent more time looking at herself than any other artist........ I'd heard that but still didn't get her on this quiz.

I think most artists spend more time looking at themselves than at other artists ;)

But seriously, how would you even measure something like that?

I keep forgetting the English name for the Great Royal Wife of Akhenaten whose name I also keep forgetting. I can only seem to remember their names in my native language...

Glad you didn't want the full names especially The Current Divine Mother Empress Dowager Ci-Xi Duan-You Kang-Yi Zhao-Yu Zhuang-Cheng Shou-Gong Qin-Xian Chong-Xi of the Great Qing Empire. Still didn't guess her shortened name though.

She was an empress dowager and regent of China during the late Qing dynasty. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empress_Dowager_Cixi

How do you pronounce that L with the teeny line through it? My grandfather is from a town with one of those in the name. He died long before I was born, so I never could ask him.

Ł in Polish is pronounced like an English "w" sound. So the city of Łodz, Poland is pronounced WOODJ or WOOCH.

That's true, but quizzes here can't require Polish characters, as not everybody has that setting on their keyboard/knows how to use it. However, Maria Sklodowska should be accepted as an answer, since she is commonly known as such in her native country and herself would sign with that surname also after her marriage.

Thank you QM for featuring these women. I made that "Influential Women in history. part II" quiz but I understand it was sadly too difficult to be featured.

I don't really get why "Marie" is accepted for Marie-Antoinette. I was trying to type Marie Curie, hadn't even scrolled yet, and "Marie" just went away so I had to scroll to see where it went... So yeah that robbed me of the satisfaction of knowing another answer :(

I'm confused. Is Cixi more well known than Wu Zetian??
