The clue starting with "To Be Victorious" is separated by commas rather than plus signs like the rest of the clues. Great quiz!

Go is not Chinese Chess. Chinese chess is Xiangqi. It's likely that Xiangqi is a descendent of Go and Chaturanja (ancestor of the more familiar Chess), but Go's main contribution is that Xiangqi is played on the lines, insead of the spaces between them.

Great quiz - I tried Hartlepool for the internal organ one, but can see that it shouldn't be allowed as the 'le' isn't accounted for in the clue, and to be fair, Hartlepool isn't one of the better known places in the world - in fact, it isn't even a city. I'm beginning to wish I hadn't started typing this now ...

I've only ever head it as "Dah-KARR," and that's also confirmed by dictionaries. I wonder if you're thinking Qatar, which is pronounced "KAHT-er" (approximately).

Dover is hardly a "world city"

According to Wikipedia, Dover UK has a population of around 31000 and Dover , Delaware, USA despite being the state capital, only has a populaton of around 36000

even adding the 2 together doesnt get anywhere near to even 100,000

Yes, but the white cliffs of Dover are quite famous, which would made city to a world city as well.

It doesn't really work, but not because of the size of the respective populations.

Dover, England is well known as a port and for the nearby cliffs, but it is not a city (it's a town).

Dover, Delaware is the state capital, but I think it's fair to say that it is not well enough known to be considered a "world city".
