Is that actually a thing? Never heard of it. Where does it come from? When all the lights go out it turms black, what does the brown refer to?

I just looked it up, apparently a brownout is when you still get some amount of electricity (just not much of it) and a blackout means none at all

The clue "to suck up" is a bit too ambiguous for my taste. If I had gone down the road of ingratiating oneself to a superior and not toward vacuums and straws, I surely would have gotten it.

Could Evergreen have a clearer clue? There are many types of evergreen, of which conifer is one type...so I was thinking of species rather than a broader definition.
