Rumplestiltskin is something well known? First time I hear of it. I'd put Rapunzel here but apparently it has good enough percentage. Was it in a Disney movie or something?

Rumpelstiltskin is one of the most famous fairy tales, at least where I'm from. I think it's a Grimm one.

Rumpelstiltskin and Rapunzel are both classics from Grimm's Fairy Tales - originally in German. Some of the tales were written by the Grimm brothers; but many they collected and re-told.

Well known in my days, but I don't know if Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales are being passed down through the generations as they once were. With all the TV, DVD, Smart Phones, Internet etc. available, maybe they are dying out........... pity.

Pretty famous. I've seen many different dramatic interpretations over the years. Disney didn't make a movie, at least not a full-length animated feature, but I think he was in one of the Shrek movies.

Thanks. After some research I found the name in Slovene translation, and it (and the story) sounds vaguely familiar, but not nearly as much as the other Grimm evergreens. Still, I've seen the English name for the first time in this quiz.

Think about adding the author of Gargantua and Pantagruel. And the author of A Season in Hell. Just to make it a little more challenging.
