When the New Jersey and West Virginia jokes get old, I've noticed that Indiana seems to be the new whipping boy. I know a lot of people from Indiana and they all love it, especially Indianapolis and Bloomington. But Indiana does seem to have a bit of an identity crisis. "Hoosiers" took place in the 1950s and Indianans would like you to believe that they're more than just basketball-playing farmboys now. But the rest of the country has yet to take notice. It's been 16 years since I've been there. Would love to go back.
