Dude: nobody said this was a quiz about where things originated. It is a quiz in which emojis represent a place with which they are closely identified. Croissants, to much of the world, are identified with France. Simple as that.

The French improved the Austrian kipfel by making them with puffed pastry. I'm guessing that nearly everyone who saw that emoji immediately thought "croissant" rather than "kipfel".

But France is most well known place for croissants now. It isn't a quiz about where things originate but what countries are most recognised by.

I mainly recognized Ireland by the other two emoji's. Though I do know that Braveheart was filmed in Ireland, and there's a lot of clouds and fog in that movie. A green hill emoji would be perfect for Ireland, but I think that doesn't exist (yet).

Imo opinion ( but experience may differ where you come from) Britain and the netherlands are atleast as known for bad weather, and to be honest I didnt know it was a em (must be a term for this) standard associaton/common saying for ireland, is it? I know it is for the other two. If so, something new learned :) (not that I didnt know about the weather, wouldnt expected it to be better than in the UK, just never heard it being a significant phrase.)

Not much to explain about it, it is know for it cheese tulips, and we have more bikes than inhabitants here. (So strange that at a certain age you realize riding a bike in some countries is weird and not everybody does it or is even able to do it. )

Though there same to be a trend (but that is globally..) amongst certain people to use the car for riduclously short distance you could ve easily covered by bike, or even on foot. Like my supermarket is 500 m away or something and quite a few people still go by car, shocking !

Other people still excist too though, like my dad, instead of taking my bike when going in to the city center, (which would be about 10 mins) He does it on foot, which I estimate is a 30 mins walk or something, just to get to one shop and walk back again haha. Ow yea he is 76 years old btw.

I think my personal times would be, when it is more than 30 mins by bike(for groceries or something. Not a day out, like if there is a festival and it is less than an hour on bike and the weather is nice... who knows) I would take the car ( but I dont have on hahaha!). ANd I guess sort of the same for bike instead of on foot, though I think that time might be shorter... like above 20 minutes taking the bike.

I think the Australian one should have a snake instead of a spider. Most of the world's most venomous snakes are found here. I think it's 7 of the top 10. Though this emoji spider looks a lot like a Funnel Web Spider which is also found here, and is also highly venomous.
