Antipodean Places

Antipodes (four syllables: ann-TIP-poh-deez) are places that are exactly opposite each other on Earth. For example, if you drilled a hole through the center of the earth from Los Angeles, you'd end up somewhere in the Indian Ocean. Most antipodes are not landmasses, but some are.
