Name a Valid Unique County

Name a valid county or "county equivalent" for each state. The name MUST be unique to that state; it can be shared by no other states.
For example, "Franklin" will not work as there are 10 states with a county by that name.
Likewise, "Sabine" will not work as there is a Sabine County in Texas and a Sabine Parish in Louisiana.
Names that are repeated WITHIN a single state, however, will be included.
D.C. not included.

Great quiz! Surprisingly difficult. Got 36. Had the most trouble with the deep south because of a lot of repeated county names and the northeast because there are fewer counties per state.

Creative idea. I love US county quizzes and this is a unique take on the concept. I got 36 as well, but if I try it a few more times, I'm sure I can get closer to 50.

Yes, the names are unique in the sense that there is Leflore County, Mississippi, and Le Flore County, Oklahoma. Jetpunk does not register or account for either capitalization or the space character, so there is nothing I can do here aside from just removing them and considering them not to be unique. However, I think that would be wrong given that they are clearly distinct.

I entered Prince George's and Virginia corresponded. I meant it for Maryland though?

You entered Prince George, a VA county. If you had entered Prince George's, you would have gotten MD.

Could have used another minute or two! I did better than most, but didn't even have enough time to make an educated guess for every state.

"Fairfax" gives me Vermont when it should be Virginia, I believe.

I am ashamed of myself. I have fixed this.
