They are all US State capitals...

Gold Medal - Olympia (Olympic gold medal)

Broomstick - Salem (Salem witch trials, witches ride broomsticks)

Trapper - Carson City (Kit Carson the fur trapper)

Old Sailor - Salt Lake City (Old salt is a nickname for an old sailor)

Reservations - Cheyenne (Cheyenne Indian Reservations)

St. Napoleon - Helena (Napoleon exiled to St. Helena).

Those are the state capitals for Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. Those states surround Idaho (other than the border with Canada), and the capital of Idaho is Boise.

Congratulations 'overtired'...... Correct in all segments. Once more I'm astonished at the abilities of jetpunkers. Your 'Honorary Gold Medal' is winging it's way to you..... congratulations again. BTW ... the picture given is in relation to Boise which means wooded.

Ahh, the picture! Nice. I had looked for a connection to "wooded" in the other clues and cities but completely overlooked the picture, despite double checking the instructions. D'oh. Couldn't see the forest for the trees...

Thanks for another great challenge!

Hi 'ylj'........ 12% is 12 of a 100 = 6 of 50 giving a clue that the 6 clues are sourced from a set of 50 i.e. 50 States and their capitals..... I said it was a difficult challenge ;O)
