Ha, ha..... yes it's not easy, but if you imagine you are walking the coast of the Med and the Black Sea, starting clockwise (not anti-clockwise) from Gibraltar you walk North into Spain, then the next country you cross into going North would be France then continuing along the French Coast you come to.......... Monaco....... back into France etc. etc. and you keep walking until you circuit the Med & Black Seas till you arrive at Spanish Ceuta on the North African Coast opposite Gibraltar.........OK?........... I also have Walk the coast quizzes of USA, the Americas, Ireland, Africa etc.... happy walking.

How can Monaco be NE of France and France be NE of Monaco?

I stopped after that because it was obvious that something is wrong with this quiz.

'divantilya' If you are walking along the coast of France towards Monaco you are walking NORTHEASTERLY, you enter Monaco and walk along the coast and re-enter France going in a NORTHEASTERLY direction, the direction of travel as it mentions in the instructions.

Have you ever seen monaco on a map? Monaco is not a big country like spain, but a microstate and is fully embedded in France.

quite astounding. That someone has heard of monaco and not know it is a city-state. (So even if you did know its exact location and for instance thought it might be between italy and france, the answer france, monaco, france would immediately make sense)

Good quiz which tests one's Mediterranean geography. But, are you making a political point in accepting the Russian invasion of Ukrainian Crimea? Surely it is not recognised by the great majority of nations upon this Earth?

No political point 'CS', I am imagining a 'walk' along the coast and the Countries encountered. In so doing you would have to get Russian permission to travel the Crimean coast, how other countries see the situation is irrelevant to reality.

The Slovenia clue is very misleading/confusing (although technically correct...). And perhaps accept the territory name as well as the country? Like Dubrovnik, Ceuta, and Melilla?
