Sorry about forgetting Syria, I was thinking it. Egypt and Slovenia, while they both border the Mediterranean Sea, do not appear to have a Mediterranean Climate. Egypt seems too arid and devoid of the vegetation required for this quiz, while Slovenia’s climate, even near its small coast, looks too much like a temperate, deciduous forest rather than a sclerophyllous scrubland.
If you can provide the latitude and longitude coordinates for a place that has chaparral vegetation in one or both of these countries, I will gladly include them.
Most people consider Palestine a country, but some people don’t. To avoid debate, for the purposes of this quiz, Israel and Palestine is the name of that country in the box. It shouldn’t inconvenience anyone because just writing Israel will make it show up.
I added Egypt. It’s hard to see the native vegetation of non-marshland because it’s so developed with farmland or overrun by dunes, but it’s at the same latitude as places with a Mediterranean climate and the Nile delta is like an estuary in any other Mediterranean climate
