I used the list of California fourteeners with more than 500 meters of topographic prominence, but you are correct according to the list of fourteeners with at least 300 feet of topographic prominence. However, I have decided to change the question rather than add a caveat or add California as an answer.

Yeah that would be an extremely obscure caveat to add. I've climbed several of CA's 14ers and it's on my bucket list to climb all of them so it's an issue somewhat close to my heart. Thanks for changing the question.
