Croatia-Slavonia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in and before 1908 - it was an autonomous province of the Hungarian kingdom. Bosnia became a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1908 having previously been part of the Ottoman Empire. Bulgaria was an independent state.
