All Modern-Day Countries Ever Controlled by Slavic People

If you've somehow never heard of this ethnic group, I'd suggest you read some history books about the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. Like come on, Slavs have certainly been an extremely powerful contributor to modern history. But how powerful have they been throughout history? Below is a map of modern-day countries that were fully or partially under their rule, can you name them all?

For this quiz, the definition of Slavic people will be ethnic Slavs and Slavicized minorities. Former countries that did not assimilate during their occupation of Slavic territory (e.g. Mongol Empire) are not considered. Slavs that occupied other regions and lost their identities as time went on are also excluded.
Tributaries and occupations are included
While this probably is not perfect, this map should be a rough representation of how far Slavic powers have reached

They were pretty much Soviet puppets at the time, so I included them as client states

(For the same exact reason why the Korean peninsula is part of this)

That chunk of Austria was from the Great Moravia.

As for Greece, some South Slavic tribes raided the region and took over the control from the Byzantine Empire.

I do think you have been overly generous about how much territory slavic nations have controlled.

Whilst you can say that technically there is merit in the ones you have listed, it is a bit disingenuous.

Great quiz nonetheless, I really enjoy this series!

Not sure if you want to count this but for a few years in the mid 17th century the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia (nowday Latvia) while being part of the Crown of the Polish Kingdom colonized The Gambia and Trinidad and Tobago.
