I omitted it because it doesn't entirely belong to France, which I mentioned in the description. The French part of the island would be 9th on this list. The reason I didn't want to include it is because of my stance on continental landmasses which I badly want to consider islands since for me the threshold is arbitrary. For that reason, Saint Martin would not appear on this list ever since I would gladly place Afro-Eurasia at first and the Americas at 5th.
