I would like to thank my middle school history teacher for having a map of the world in his room and being extremely boring, giving me no choice but to study this map as mentioned earlier, otherwise much of this I would not have known.

Well done, again. There is also a Christmas Island (now spelled Kiritimati, which still sounds like Christmas) in Kiribati, in the Pacific. It used to be listed with four villages, two now abandoned, I believe, with the fabulous names - Paris, London, Poland, and Banana.
