Some of the answers seem random and arbitrary. Pakistan was once one nation with Bangladesh. There are other Turkic speaking countries besides Azerbaijan, e.g., Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. Cyprus could also be linked with Turkey as well as Greece. FYROM could be paired with Greece which has a province of Macedonia.

Ok let me explain once and for all. I used language as the primary basis to determine which two countries are considered a single nation. The majority of people in Pakistan and India use Urdu and Hindi as their primary and secondary language, which are considered one single language. Bengali is spoken in Bangladesh, which is a minority language in India and almost nonexistent in Pakistan. Besides, apart from following different religions, majority of Pakistani and Indian people follow the same traditions, from clothing and marriage to cuisine. For Turkish people, Azerbaijani is mutually understandable, but it is not the case for other turkic languages. Also, it is almost always stated that these two countries are one single nation. Turks are minority in cyprus and greeks are the majority. Macedonian language is mutually intelligible to Bulgarians, even some consider it one single language. On the other hand, today's FYROM has no links with Greece. So, nothing is random and arbitrary

You could give a hint that language is what we are looking for. I just guessed bordering countries.
