Please give some leniency on the pope question. I tried all sorts of things, a new pope has been elected, a new pope, there is a new pope, voting is finished in the papal election, we have a new pope, etc. Perhaps reword the clue to make it a one-word answer such as, "white smoke means a new ___ has been chosen," or something of that nature.
