Bangladesh is not in Central Asia. Istanbul is not in the Middle East. Half of it is in Europe.

Bangladesh and Pakistan are in Southern Asia, Philippines in South-East Asia and Istanbul, even if it were not in Europe, it would definitely not be in the Middle East, rather in the Near East, the same area of Damascus or Jerusalem.

"Near East" isn't really used today outside of historical contexts, at least in American English. Damascus and Jerusalem would be considered to be in the Middle East by most people today, and probably by most experts/geographers today as well.

I agree with all the rest though.
