Great quiz, but I would have liked a lot more time...maybe two minutes more. I only got 19 before time ran out, and I felt like I was thinking of them fairly quickly.

Very confusing not to put turkey in the Europe section. I missed Sweden and Switzerland, because I was searching for countries higher up the alphabet than turkey.

Not confusing at all since Turkey isn't part of Europe.

Thank you for not using Turkey in the European column. It's wrong people. Yes, it's partly in Europe but maybe the easiest way to put it into Asia is: Its capital is in Asia. Which is why also partly-European Russia is included in the European part of such quizzes: The capital is in Europe. This also puts Cyprus into Asia. Easy, right? Anyway: Nice quiz. I kept thinking of some German names for some European countries and couldn't get Wei├črussland (Belarus) out of my head.

I believe Turkey is also culturally part of the Middle East, just as Russia is culturally part of Eastern Europe.

However, if you employ this argument, then Trinidad and Tobago should be in South America, not North. Also, in my alphabet, "Saint" comes before "Salvador" and as, by convention, we do not use the definite article (e.g. it's Netherlands, not "The Netherlands") then El Salvador should be on the list ahead of all the "Saint" countries.

Yes, it falls under the United Kingdom, as it's a British Overseas Territory and not a sovereign state.

Geographically speaking you can try to argue Turkey is in Asia, although Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan would beg to differ. Either way Turkey still remains part of UEFA which is the european football association, pretty clearly European. One of those inconsistent things that could be noted from quiz to quiz.

Australia takes part in Eurovision, which is a European song contest, pretty clearly European.
