Check your stats herehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties#Human_losses_by_country You missed Canada and Albania (also the Baltic states, Finland, if you include civilian deaths) and since you included India separately why not Indonesia (Dutch East Indies) and French Indochina (Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia) and the Philippines.

Can't see how Australia had 12000 civilians killed, in fact without checking it up I'd say impossible!

There was Japanese bombing of Darwin in Northern Australia. However, this shouldn't account for 12000 deaths

Darwin wasn't the only place in Australia that was victim to Japanese bombing. Along with Darwin was Katherine, Townsville, Sydney, and many other Australian airfields. However I agree that 12000 people is a little excess.

Austria and Czechoslovakia were consumed by Germany before the war. Indian was still apart of Britain (until 1947). Korea was taken by Japan before the war.

China is missing a zero/decimal in the civilian deaths which should be 8.5 million (not "8,500,00"). It should be second place.

Also why is it listed by military deaths and not total ones (eg are civilian deaths not as important? For example 400,000 dead Koreans < 12,000 Belgians

Also 87,000 Indian troops died in WWII (the world's largest ever volunteer force of 2.5 million served in the war for the British). Also 3 million civilians died in the Bengal famine when the Burmese routes were cut off.

Great quiz, but it wouldn't accept Soviet Union for the USSR
