I want to state this again, since I didn't make this clear enough originally, but this quiz only accepts islands from the map used in Jetpunk's 'Countries of the World' quiz. Including every inhabited island is not going to happen for logistical reasons.
It should be noted that this quiz was made in 2018, and the current 'Countries of the World' quiz's map actually includes more islands than this, so I hope to make an update in future :)
The Countries of the World quiz has a "show missing countries" feature, which you could use here. Another suggestion I have is that you could make the already guessed islands disappear, which would make it easier to see small islands near the coast of the bigger ones.
Good ideas. The first will be difficult since I need to imput the presice coordinates of each island manually to make it work but I have a new idea based on your second idea which I feel is a middle ground between the two.
I didn't for some reason get one of the islands marked with a dash. It is a small island near Kuwait. Does anyone know why that is. It also has a guess percentage of 51% so some people get it.
My bad, I messed up my type-ins. I've made it so all the dash answers show up when any key from a-z is typed. Because of my error, you have to type 'az' to guess that one. I will fix this.
Hey,congratulations for the impressive and very creative quiz! Also, cudos for the research and execution.
However, São Paulo is not an insular city, it's actually located at ca.800 m above the sea. There's a nearby city located at São Vicente island though and it belongs to São Paulo State. It's largest city is called Santos and it has aproximately 420k inhabitants.
Quite possibly. When I made the quiz in 2018 the most recent census had Rio Grande on top. I have looked into other sources and the results were mixed. I'd prefer for Ushuaia to hold the title due to name recognition but I want to be sure first.
I just added a highlighted comment, but essentially Tonga wasn't on the Jetpunk 'Countries of the World' map and so I didn't include it. Port Moresby is the largest city in PNG, but Jayapura is a slightly larger city on the Indonesian side.

Thanks for playing!
Thanks for the suggestions :D

The correct answer should be Llangefni. Thanks for the heads up!
Port Moresby is the largest city on Papua
And you have to hype "Grenada" for St George's
