How did you make the map? I’m assuming that you copy pasted the subdivisions from amcharts, then combined nodes, and drew the dots, but how did you get them to look lik the lambert projection

I superimposed the circle over the map, which was sized appropriately using Google Maps (the circle should have a radius of 750 kilometres, therefore). All subdivision borders end at the circle, giving it the desired projection. Since it's difficult to make the ends of each subdivion into a prefect circle, I have the thick black border overlapping everything.

I use a similar method for most of my map SVG's. I can't download inkscape, so I actually find a really bad text file so I'm not just copying other people's work. Then, I spend hours and sometimes days on end editing the styling, dimensions, and adding path id's. However, on my recent quiz Hand-Drawn Map of Europe, I spent a couple months on the SVG project because it was completely custom.

I make a circle using Inkscape and make a specific radius. I give it 75% opacity and overlap it on the JetPunk country map. I trace the countries and add the cities and tada!

That is a good way to do it. You can also modify the countries on the Jetpunk country map so that their borders stop at the circle.

Nice one Jiao! Is it possible for you to add a caveat saying that the white dot at the center of the map is the mountain, or just make it a more distinguishable color? That's just my nitpicking, obviously I'm probably the only person who can't realize that the white dot at the center of the screen is the focus point.
