Updated to add every justifiable type-in that quiz takers have suggested below (Korean romanisation is a lot more complicated than I'd imagined...!) I've redone the map and modernised the layout (slightly). Thank you everyone for playing!

The moment I laid my eye on the map, I realized, it is seriously distorted.

Can you accept province name ended with -buk for those start with North and ended with -nam for those start with South? I tried Gyeongsangnam (for South Gyeongsang) but doesn't work.

Great quiz. Have loved my visits to South Korea but hadn't found this quiz until now.

Shame it is not featured!

Maybe change title so that people know it is a map quiz? This is a fantastic quiz and it hasn't quite had the takes it deserves!

Can I ask for alternative spellings. In my classes we've spoken about Cholla for North/South Jeolla. I'm no great student of Korea, so couldn't think how else to spell it. Nice quiz though.

I can work on this! Not an expert on Korean but I've found the romanisation to be confusing...

Russia and China are too far. You can only see North Korea and Japan from this view.

Update needed:

1. Since 2023 July, Daegu has undergone an expansion (in the most ugly way possible) northwards and turned itself into a beautiful hammerhead shark shape. Hence the map would need an update.

2. Since 2023 June, Gangwon province have become 'Gangwon State' (although the appropriate translation for the Korean name should be 'Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province' like that of Jeju). Not much difference but hey, name change is a name change.

2024 update:

North Jeolla province has undergone the same irritating rebranding into a "special self-governing province".

They even changed their official English name into "Jeonbuk State" (though it means the same thing back in Korean).
