Interesting quiz, but Swansea isn't really a county and you have Birmingham too close to the Welsh Border...

Surely the "Football Towns" are all just cities anyway?

Basically they are cities with one or more major football team.

And all the 'cities' listed also have one or more major football team. It seems to be completely random which category each place has been assigned to.

It's *Lough* Neagh. Also, not sure about Cardiff being a football town (ahead of Birmingham and especially Glasgow and London), and Leicester are a bit of a one-year wonder.

Might also want to accept Kernow for Cornwall and Ynys Mon (I think) for Anglesey.

But good quiz - nice mix of easy and not-so-easy

That's Aberdeenshire. Aberdeen City is the small area inside

Birmingham is in the wrong place. It should be a little south of Leicester, and closer than halfway from Leicester to the Welsh border. What you have on there is more like where Shrewsbury is.

Good quiz thanks. Agree with comments above re Birmingham and also use of the term football TOWNS is a bit deceptive as they are all cities (I wasted a bit of time until I realised what you had done)...but, again, thanks for a good quiz.

I'd argue that none of Cardiff, Leicester or Newcastle have more than one major football team. Sheffield however does but isn't included

Nice quiz, with a lot of potential. I agree with the comments about Birmingham and the rather arbitrary cities vs. football towns categorisations. Maybe "University towns" (Oxford/Cambridge/St Andrews?) could be a less controversial category. Glasgow feels a bit too far west, too.

One other thing, the Moray Firth is generally defined as the whole triangle of sea with John o' Groats in its north, Fraserburgh in the south east, and Inverness in the south west. See this map:

I tried Birmingham and was surprised it was correct, it doesn't seem to be in the right place! Should be more in the middle?

The Isle of Man is not part of the United Kingdom but is a crown dependency - also entering Manchester fills in Man so you might want to remove that island. As others have said Birmingham is in the wrong place and the map shows Aberdeenshire, not Aberdeen. I'd also suggest that Swansea is typically associated with the city so you might want to pick a different county.

Why is Birmingham in Shrewsbury
