Football has been at every Olympics except 1896 and 1932; with the Women's competition starting in 1996. In 1900 and 1904, the competition was held between various club sides from the competing nations; with Upton Park FC winning for Great Britain in 1900 and Galt FC winning for Canada in 1904. Denmark beat Athens in the final of the Intercalated Games of 1906. In 1920, the final was between Belgium and Czechoslovakia, but the Czech team walked off in protest of the refereeing, and they were subsequently disqualified from the tournament altogether. Since 1992, the men's competition has been restricted to Under 23's, with three overage players allowed.
