Armenia should have an asterisk as well due to officially being in Asia. Also Kosovo should be on there (between Cyprus and Montenegro) - also possibly with an asterisk due to it being recognised by some countries but not others.
One of the points at which the divide between Europe and Asia is agreed to be is the Black Sea. Except for the small part west of the Black Sea which borders Greece, Turkey is agreed to be part of Asia. Cyprus is south of Turkey, and very far southeast of the part considered European — there is a lot of Asia in between. Therefore, not in Europe. Armenia not only does not even border the Black Sea, it is entirely east of Turkey, therefore also NOT European. Like many Near Eastern countries, they are culturally close to Europe, but geographically they are as much a part of Europe as Iran, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, etc. — that is, NOT European!
Sure there is a disclaimer, but I thought that had to do with the size being argued about (I'm sure it's hard to tell with squiggly borders). And the "debatable" marker is only placed next to Cyprus! Clarify what "debatable" means (i.e. "Some might not be considered European.") and THEN I'll be happy with this quiz.
Wikipedia says geographically it's Asian, but cultural-historically it's European.
