"Pacific Northwest" is not at all clearly defined. I got none of them because I was trying to find towns in the NW Pacific - not the Pacific coast of N. America!

The Pacific Northwest exclusively refers to "a geographic region in western North America bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the west and (loosely) by the Rocky Mountains on the east" (Wikipedia); in fact, Wikipedia doesn't even have a disambiguation page for it. If I was referring to the Northwest Pacific (a region which is much less defined than the Pacific Northwest), I would've said Northwest Pacific.
