Good quiz. But you have a mighty strange concept of the meaning of the word "city". I expect that only one of these would fit with most people's concept of the a city, and a settlement of only 12 people might struggle to qualify as a village elsewhere - though admittedly Bettles does have its own airport!

Generally (at least in the United States) , the term "city" is used to refer to incorporated places, regardless of their size, and "Every City in Alaska" has a better ring to it than "Every Incorporated Municipality in Alaska."

Some states have legal distinctions between cities, towns, and villages. But in many states, especially western ones, there is only one category of incorporated communities: they are all called cities.

Nice quiz! You might want to add the zoomable class for the dots, because when you zoom in, the dots stay the same size and don't get smaller.

In the hot, humid, Missouri summer I watch every Alaska show I can find on TV. It helped me a lot on this quiz - The Last Frontier folks at Kachemak Bay and Homer, Yukon Men at Tanana, several from Life Below Zero and The Last Alaskans, but the Bush People won't be happy to know that Browntown didn't make the list. :)

I remember when we were told that the new state capital of Alaska would be at Willow. Then it just sort of never happened, but I thought at least that's one town I'll get, but no. Apparently it's only a census-designated place - whatever that is.
