This is strange because north california isn't included. Doesn't make any sense geographically because all of nevada is pretty much there and that's more north. I think it might only be like this because of the "rivalry" between socal and north, and people from north cali not voting south. Funny stuff

I think it has to do with that the southwest is usually very closely associated with desert. Almost all of Nevada is a desert, but Northern California is very rainy and thus may be seen less as part of the region.

I like this quiz, but these are some pretty interesting divisions of urban areas. I would have been lost if I hadn't lived in the LA area for the last four years. Also, was Lancaster or Palmdale on the list?

Seems like I overlooked Lancaster. Should be fixed now :)

Too US-centric. Maybe include some cities in St. Vincent and the Grenadines?

This quiz brought back my condition of chronic not knowing where anything is in California. People will say "Oh I live in Merced" and I will ask "Where's that" and they will say "Oh it's up the 99 past Fresno but if you reach Modesto you've gone too far" and I will reply with "Is it in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or other!?"

Also, according to the source, Murrieta-Temecula should be larger than quite a few cities on this quiz.
