Good stuff, this should be featured! I did worse than I thought I might.

I'm probably the only person to get 19 right but miss Lake Tahoe. Well, now I know where it is. I probably had an advantage on this quiz, being from North Dakota.

Also being from North Dakota, I feel like this quiz is one of the only advantages of being from this state...

I'm not from the US but just from looking at the shapes of these lakes on the map, are not some of them artificial?

Yes, a good amount of these are reservoirs.

That is correct, but in my area we use lake for the name and reservoir for what it is, as in, "Lake Wappapello is a reservoir on the St. Francis River."

Great quiz! Nice to have so many lakes to make it a challenge.

Of those I missed I think I only ever heard of one or two.

Nice! I've been to Flathead on holiday but I'm not sure I'd speak so highly of it.

Are you sure you went to the right lake?

I think it's beautiful, although it's been decades since I was there.

No Timberlake here. Used to be pretty big. Must be all dried out now.

I entered "Salton Sea" and when it grabbed this answer after "Salt" I thought that was a type-in for this answer - I only found out afterwards it gave the point for "Great Salt Lake", and Salton Sea was marked "wrong". That could be sorted out by requiring "Great Salt" as the Utah answer, that's how that lake is always known anyway.

That's the auto typein for the lake, so I don't think I should be the one to change it. Also, the Great Salt lake and Salton Sea are famous for being in Utah and California, respectively, so if a different place is filled in on the map than where you were trying to guess, it shouldn't be too difficult to figure that out.

good quiz, but too little time

I agree, this could use another minute or at least 30 seconds.

I thought I did terribly, but apparently everyone struggles with this one. I at least got all of the ones over 50% and a most of those over 20%, so I guess that's a decent outcome.

As I type in l-l-i-a-m-n-a (without the dashes off course) nothing seems to happen?

The first letter should be an i. The capital i (I) just looks like a lowercase L (l).

Please allow for the many other spellings of Sakakwea. In fact, this lake is the only place I'm aware of where her name is spelled that way.

Ofc when I type in "salt" I thought it filled in for the Salton Sea too so I missed that. 10/32....

fun fact from a Marylander! Maryland doesn't have any natural lakes! All of our lakes (Deep Creek, for example) are actually man-made

Accept Millie Lacs for Mille Lacs? I didn't realize it wasn't spelled with an 'i' because it's pronounced as if it is.
