Superman 64 at #96? Setting a real high bar there....

painful to realize how few great games were on this system. Also, Mischief Makers deserves to be ranked much higher than it is. And there are plenty of unknown, generic shovelware that should knock Superman64 off the list. :P

But the great games it had were the greatest around. Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, Mario 64... Still celebrated as some of the best games ever today. Other titles like Rogue Squadron and 1080 Snowboarding were also excellent. Some of the lesser known titles are under-appreciated too. Beetle Adventure Racing for instance was beautiful, with great controls, really creative courses, and a fun multiplayer. Many happy memories :)

The best console ever for me. So many amazing games, some of which are not even on this list. Superman 64 and Cruis'n USA are really out of place quite frankly.

Really inconsistent rules for when the "64" can be omitted.

Omitted:

Mario Kart, Star Fox, Harvest Moon, Ogre Battle, Wave Race, Pilotwings, Bomberman, Duke Nukem, Starcraft, Dr. Mario, Superman, Shadowgate

Can't be omitted:

Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, Kirby 64, Quest 64, Mega Man 64, Excitebike 64, Wipeout 64.

The 7 (of 19) where you have to type 64 don't seem to need it in order to differentiate it from a sequel or game with the same name; it just seems to be an oversight.

Also, "Superman 64" isn't even the name of the game! It was "Superman: The New Superman Aventures".
