This map (and the one on the map quiz version) is incorrect. At the time, Virginia did not own land going far out west. In addition, part of New York was part of Canada. New Hampshire controlled nearly 75% of Vermont, and Georgia was half the size at the time. Also, Massachusetts owned Maine. The map I included on this quiz is far more accurate.
