Resort located in the vanoise national park, famous for expensive bars and restaurants together with ski-in ski-out hotels. Close to the source of the isere river.

Supposedly the oldest established ski resort in France, this town is at the foot of the 'Aguille Du Midi', the highest skiable peak in Europe, and also home to the longest ski run in the world (although it is not an official piste)

Smaller resort, home to the downhill events of the 1968 winter Olympic Games in Grenoble and is the first place where skis were brought over from Norway to try downhill
