I'm kind of surprised by this, I mean what do they define as urban? I definitely dont think Iceland is over 90% city lmao

According to Atlas of Canada : urban population is "every person that lives in villages or towns of at least 1000 inhabitants, whether or not these villages or towns are constituted in municipalities" (I translated from French, so this may not be the actual quote) This definition seems to be one of the most used in these sort of studies. The main aspect is that ''urban'' doesn't confine itself to town inhabitants. http://perspective.usherbrooke.ca/bilan/tend/ISL/fr/SP.URB.TOTL.IN.ZS.html here you can see a curve of urbanization in Iceland throughout years :)
