I wonder how many people have died after eating undercooked chicken or seafood...although I suppose technically its not the animal thats killed them its the bacteria involved

True but then it's usually not the mosquito that kills you but the malaria, dengue (or other) that it transmits.

Yeah but you guys are forgetting that the quiz is animals responsible for the most human deaths, not animals that first-handedly kill the most humans

I just want to point out that there is not universal agreement over whether Protozoa form a separate kingdom of their own or whether they are considered part of the animal kingdom. Therefore, I think that the quiz instructions should indicate that you are considering them as separate from Animals. Otherwise you should include Plasmodium Falciparum (responsible for most malaria deaths) and possibly other protozoa as well.

Irrespective of that, why are snails included? Is it as vectors that transmit Schistasoma Haematobium? If so, why is not the worm itself in your list - since that is DEFINITELY an animal?
