Hard One! The only thing I could think of was that Norway, Sweden, Egypt, Myanmar, Portugal, and South Korea have major peninsulas. I'm not sure of the answer...

Doesn't work for Austria, Ghana, or Peru. It's more political than geographical. Order is important.

Got it! The nine Secretaries-General of the United Nations were all from these countries in exactly this order (to prove: the last ones: Kofi Annan, Ghana, Ban Ki-moon, South Korea and Antonio Gutierres, Portugal = the incumbent)
