A bit weird how a lot ofpeople know about Bloomberg and Giuliani, but a lot less know who is the incumbent mayor of New York City is, at the same time.

How did I miss Wagner? He was the guy when I was little and it seemed like he was the only mayor NY ever had.

It pays to have an airport named after you.

Not so happy with my score of 9/11

There have actually been 109 mayors so far. Any reason it starts at 1934? Looks like current rules for election have applied since 1898. Adding in earlier mayors will avoid anyone having the score 9/11 (otherwise I guess we will have to wait until the next one comes in).

Independent of the start, quizmaster might want to add Eric Adams now to the end of the list...

Maybe because of the Tammany Hall? So the mayor wasn't actually running the city ...

It really should start at 1898. I was all ready to write in Van Wyck!

You misspelled the most recent Mayor: It's "de Blasio", not "DeBlasio".

Only got 5 - embarrassed I couldn't think of de Blasio, nor the new guy, Adams, who's obviously been in the news in recent days. From the right column, I only got the guy with an airport named after him.

de Blasio is pretty forgettable.

de Blasio is remarkable. In a time of intense political partisanship, he managed to unite people of all ideologies against him. Liberal, conservative, progressive, Nazi. Everybody hated the guy. It was quite an accomplishment.

"Mecca means that a bunch of people come from around to meet there, which is true.

A bunch of people have come from all around the United States to meet [at MSG], and kick the Knicks' rear."

I only got 3 - I knew Koch because he was mayor when I was growing up in NJ, LaGuardia because of the airport, and Guliani because of 9/11.

But after the fact, I remembered Dinkins, Bloomberg, and DiBlasio.

I got all of the left column and the airport guy on the right (I had heard of only one other on the right). I remember Koch from the couple of years we lived in CT in the mid-80s. He later replaced Wapner on "The People's Court."

Separately, I was happy to hear de Blasio isn't running for governor.

Found a mistake in the quiz - de Blasio didn't pop up when I wrote in "s***head."
